On Monday the 2nd of February, we were pleased to distribute the sponsorship monies raised through our participation in the ‘Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest’ race in Cardiff back in September.

76 staff from across all branches and divisions of LBS ran in what was a sheer test of endurance, guts and speed.

Survival of the Fittest was a gruelling 10km urban assault course full of tough obstacles, such as a ‘giant slippery wall’, an ‘army assault course’, and a ‘mud run’. Running 10km can be hard enough, but combine that with energy sapping obstacles and you suddenly have an extremely gruelling challenge!

We were pleased to present each of the five charities supported with a cheque for £2438.08, Cancer Research UK, Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales, Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre Swansea, British Heart Foundation Cymru & Macmillan Cancer Support.

We’d like to thank all the charity representatives for attending the day, and we hope our donation goes a long way in helping each cause.
